Warm Welcome
Our team greets you and completes any remaining paperwork. We take the time to get to know you before anything else.
Medical & Dental History
Dr. Basi or a team member reviews your health history. We ask about medications, allergies, previous dental experiences, and any current concerns.
Comprehensive Examination
A thorough exam of every tooth, your gums, jaw joint, bite, and soft tissues — including an oral cancer screening. We note anything that needs attention.
X-Rays (if needed)
Digital x-rays give us a detailed view of what's happening beneath the surface. We only take them when clinically appropriate.
Professional Cleaning
Our hygienist removes plaque and tartar and polishes your teeth. We'll discuss your brushing and flossing technique and offer tips for improvement.
Review & Planning
Dr. Basi walks you through all findings, answers your questions, and presents a personalized care plan — with no pressure or upselling.

Q.How long will my first appointment take?
Plan for approximately 60–90 minutes. This allows enough time for a thorough exam, cleaning, x-rays if needed, and a full discussion of your oral health.
Q.Is the first visit covered by insurance?
Most dental insurance plans cover new patient exams and cleanings. We recommend calling your insurer beforehand, and our team can also verify your coverage for you.
Q.Do I need to arrive early?
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to complete any new patient paperwork. You can also ask us to email forms in advance so you can fill them out at home.
Q.What if I'm nervous about the dentist?
Please tell us. Our team is experienced with anxious patients and we never rush. We explain each step before doing it, and you are always in control of the pace.
Q.Can I bring my children to my appointment?
Yes — we welcome families and can often schedule multiple family members consecutively to save time.
Q.What happens if I need treatment after the first visit?
If treatment is recommended, we explain exactly what is needed and why, provide a cost estimate, and let you book at a time that suits you. Nothing is done without your informed consent.
