Canadian Dental Care Plan
What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal government program designed to help Canadians who do not have access to private dental insurance afford the dental care they need.
Launched in 2024, the plan provides coverage for a range of dental services — from preventive checkups and cleanings to fillings, extractions, and even major restorative treatments for eligible patients.
At 124 Street Dental, we are proud to be a participating CDCP provider. We want every member of our community to have access to the quality care they deserve.
We accept CDCP and handle all billing directly with the government. Bring your member card and we take care of the rest.

CDCP FAQs
Q.How do I apply for CDCP?
You can apply online through Service Canada or by calling 1-800-715-8572. Once approved, you will receive a CDCP member card to use at participating providers like 124 Street Dental.
Q.Does my whole family qualify?
Eligibility is assessed individually. Children, seniors, and adults with disabilities may have different thresholds. We encourage all family members to apply and we can help you understand your coverage.
Q.Is there a cost to me?
Depending on your household income, you may have a co-payment of 40% or 60% of the eligible procedure cost. Low-income households may have full coverage with no co-payment.
Q.Do I need to bring my CDCP card to appointments?
Yes, please bring your CDCP member card and a valid photo ID. We will handle the billing directly to the government on your behalf.
Q.What if CDCP doesn't cover a treatment I need?
We will always be transparent about what is and isn't covered. For treatments outside of CDCP coverage, we offer flexible payment options and will help you understand all available options.
