Dental Emergency Care
Dental Emergency?
Same-day care available — don't wait, call us now.
What Counts as a Dental Emergency?
If you are in pain, something feels wrong, or you have had trauma to your teeth or mouth — call us. We would rather you call and find out it can wait than suffer unnecessarily.
Severe Toothache
Persistent, intense tooth pain that doesn't resolve with over-the-counter pain relief.
Knocked-Out Tooth
A tooth that has been completely dislodged — time is critical, call us immediately.
Cracked or Broken Tooth
Visible fractures, sharp edges, or broken cusps causing pain or sensitivity.
Lost Filling or Crown
An exposed tooth that is sensitive to temperature, air, or pressure.
Dental Abscess
Swelling, pus, or severe infection around a tooth or in the gum — can be life-threatening if untreated.
Wisdom Tooth Pain
Impacted or erupting wisdom teeth causing significant pain, swelling, or difficulty opening the mouth.
Soft Tissue Injury
Cuts, lacerations, or trauma to the lips, cheeks, tongue, or gums.
Root Canal Emergency
Infected tooth causing throbbing, intense pain — immediate root canal treatment may be required.
What to Do in a Dental Emergency
Call Us Immediately
Call 780-540-0124. Tell us your symptoms — we will triage your situation and book you same-day whenever possible.
Manage Pain at Home
Over-the-counter pain relievers (ibuprofen or acetaminophen) and cold compresses can reduce discomfort while you make your way to us.
For Knocked-Out Teeth
Handle the tooth by the crown only. Keep it moist — store it in milk or between your cheek and gum. Get to us within 30–60 minutes for the best chance of saving it.
For Dental Abscesses
Rinse with warm salt water to ease discomfort. Do not attempt to drain it yourself. Seek care urgently — dental infections can spread rapidly.
Emergency Care You Can Count On
Dental emergencies are stressful enough without worrying about whether you can get in to see someone. At 124 Street Dental, we prioritize emergency patients and work hard to see you the same day you call.
Dr. Basi and our team are calm, experienced, and equipped to handle a wide range of emergency situations — from pain relief and temporary measures to complete emergency restorations in a single visit.
